Gang Members Arrested for Robbery and Illegal Possession of Firearm

On Friday, September 11th, 2020, at 2:30 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with the assistance of the Palm Desert Burglary Suppression Unit, Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, Palm Desert Station Patrol, and and the California Highway Patrol K-9 Team concluded a follow up investigation in reference to a robbery that occurred on September 10th, 2020 in front of a business in the 73000 block of Ramon Road in Thousand Palms. During the incident the suspect struck a victim with a closed fist and took the victim’s chain necklace.

Agricultural Theft

On August 26, 2020, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Thermal Station, Agricultural Liaison, and Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team, responded to the area of 86 Expressway and Lincoln Street, Thermal, regarding subjects stealing lemons from a ranch.

Robbery Arrest – August 10, 2020

During the months of July and August 2020, members of the Moreno Valley Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) began investigating a series of armed robberies that occurred in the city of Moreno Valley. During each of these robberies, the suspect would enter the business dressed in dark clothing, select an item for purchase and when the clerk would open the cash register, the suspect would brandish a firearm and demand money.

Residential Burglary – August 10, 2020

On Monday, August 10, 2020, around 9:15 am, officers from the California Highway Patrol located a possible stolen golf cart at a recycling shop in Indio. Officers traced the golf cart to a residence in the 54000 block of Southern Hills in La Quinta. Officers responded to the residence in an effort to contact the homeowner and find out if they knew the whereabouts of their golf cart. When the officers arrived at the residence they found signs of a break-in. Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Thermal Station were called to the scene to investigate the break-in.

Robbery Suspects Arrested

On June 30, 2020 at 9:09 AM, Moreno Valley Station deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Alessandro Blvd., city of Moreno Valley, regarding a robbery. The victim, an employee at the recycling center, reported the suspect, a Black male adult wearing dark clothing, approached him, brandished a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
