Carjacking
On Saturday, August 1, 2020, at 3:26 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Southwest Station responded to a reported carjacking near the intersection of Highway 79 and Sage Road, in unincorporated Temecula.
Homicide Update – July 24, 2020
The Riverside County Sheriff Department’s Central Homicide Unit has been working toward developing leads on a homicide that occurred on February 21, 2020, in the unincorporated area of Indio. 42-year-old Vincent Aispuro died as a result of the assault.
Assault on a Peace Officer
On July 19, 2020, deputies responded to the 31000 block of Casino Dr., in Lake Elsinore, in response to a report of protesting regarding information on recently released sex offender Cary Smith. Upon arrival, the protest was relatively peaceful. During one unrestful incident, a protester threw an object at deputies, causing minor injury to a deputy.
Kidnapping Suspect Arrested with Guns, Narcotics
On July 7, 2020, about 12:30 AM, deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Perris Station were alerted to a man with a gun in the area of N. Perris Blvd and Orange Ave in the city of Perris. The victim told deputies she had been kidnapped by a man with a gun.
Felon in Possession of a Firearm – July 02, 2020
On Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 9:49 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team-Gang Unit conducted a traffic stop in the 24000 block of Sandbow Street, in the city of Moreno Valley.
