Girl Scout Troop 2412 members were proud to show off the efforts that earned them a “Think Like an Engineer” badge during a ribbon-cutting at the Hemet Scout House on October 19.
The Soroptimists of San Jacinto Hemet could not have picked a better venue for their “Teamwork makes our dream work” event than the Soboba Casino Resort.
The Soboba Cultural Department Native/Community Garden was started in 2016 with the intention of growing pumpkins that could be harvested before Halloween and shared with the community.
Members of Hemet Sunset Rotary participated in an International Project working with the Rotary Club of Rosarito La Mision and Tijuana Oeste Rotary Club.
“We are very excited with the success of our first two weeks. There’s lots of foot traffic which is a good sign,” says Matt McPherson owner of the building and lot at 135 E. Florida (corner of Florida Avenue and Harvard Street), in Hemet.
