On March 3, 2023, after a month’s long investigation, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office – Palm Desert Traffic Team, obtained an arrest warrant for Ricardo Meza, 24 years, of Palm Desert.

On Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, around 11:49 p.m., deputies from the Thermal Station responded to a call of shots fired near the 84000 block of Lingayan Avenue in the unincorporated area of Coachella.
Detectives seek motive in fatal California school stabbing
Detectives on Thursday were investigating what prompted a fight between three students at a Northern California high school that ended in one fatally stabbing another as more than two dozen classmates watched.
Lewd Acts With a Child
In October 2022, Investigators from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station assumed the investigation into alleged lewd acts with a child. During the course of the investigation the suspect was identified as Gilbert Randall Christopher (white male, 57 years old), a resident of Ridgecrest, CA.

On February 26, 2023, at about 6:22 p.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station were dispatched to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 38000 block of Via Majorca, La Cresta. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male with gunshot wounds.
