Details:
On Friday, February 26, 2021, at 8:20 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team – Gang Unit conducted an area check in the 26000 block of Deerfern Avenue, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted, Owen Marzette, a 39-year-old resident of Moreno Valley and documented criminal street gang member.
A subsequent search of Marzette’s backpack revealed a loaded semi-automatic stolen handgun. A record check also revealed Marzette is a convicted felon, prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Marzette was taken into custody and charged with being a Felon in Possession of the Loaded Stolen Firearm and Felon in Possession of Ammunition.
