A 21-year-old who was a student at the University of California, Davis, until last week was arrested on accusations of fatally stabbing two people and wounding another in attacks that terrified the quiet college community, police said Thursday.
On April 20, 2023, at approximately 2:00 PM, Southwest Station deputies responded to the 31000 block of Manford Drive, in the unincorporated area of Winchester. Deputies learned an adult male contacted a female juvenile while she was alone riding her bike.
On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, Riverside County Sheriff’s Investigators assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigations Inland Violent Crime Suppression Task Force (FBI/IVCSTF) located a fugitive, Larry Lightning, a 43-year-old resident of Perris, visiting a house in Moreno Valley.
On April 28, 2023, investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit responded to the city of Perris regarding a lewd act with a child investigation. The investigation involved allegations that a substitute teacher at Orange Vista High School in Perris committed a lewd act with a minor student.
On May 1, 2023, deputies developed information of the location of David Salcida. Deputies responded to the area of 29000 block of Rawlings Way, Lake Elsinore. Salcida attempted to flee but was apprehended and taken into custody without incident.
