An Explosion of Non-Degree Course Offerings

In 2012, the Columbia Mailman School launched the first academic public health program in climate and health anywhere. Now, the School is launching an intensive summer bootcamp that gives participants the latest science on the health impacts of climate change, along with practical approaches to mitigation and adaptation that they can apply to their professional work.

Hispanic Outlook on Education magazine ranked Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) as one of its Top 25 Community Colleges in the nation for Hispanics.

Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) will receive $500,000 grant from the California Apprenticeship Initiative (CAI) for a new Automotive and Transportation Technologies Apprenticeship.

CalRTA Selects Three Local Grant Winners

For the third time this school year, CalRTA Division 33 randomly drew the names of three lucky teacher grant winners at their February 8th general meeting. Each local educator will receive a $100 check to be used in their classrooms.

SJ SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNIZES SOBOBA FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

At the most recent San Jacinto Unified School District’s board meeting on Feb. 10, the Board of Trustees and Superintendent David Pyle recognized the Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians Tribal Council, Soboba Foundation, Tribal Executive Officer Steven Estrada and Sponsorship Coordinator Andrew Vallejos for their generous support of students, families, staff and community.
